And "work" means recover from exceptional situations. It works when I unplug my root disk, and plug it back in again (when it is active, although I cannot remember which version that was). I have the cd-rewriter here as an example, and I should look that if I connect a parity less SCSI device on a BUS with parity it still will end in the same reset loop. (It ends at least in a reset loop) What I use to get the condition is to use cdparanoia to grab some faulty audio tracks.
