Do you have these? /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.* /libGLU.* /libMesa* I haven't run any OpenGL on my FreeBSD box, but I would expect some of these to be involved. Actually I was surprised to see the Mesa entries as soft-links to the GL libs - I used to have it the other way.
