I think the complaint is not about being rude. But that the person that
was inconsiderate was known as some developer @freebsd.org.

If a FreeBSD developer wants to use their @freebsd.org email address as
their personal email address or personal handle then they should behave
because they represent the entire @freebsd.org group.

Some organizations have that part of their memmbership agreement -- to not
abuse their good name.
