Hmmm, maybe I can think up some way to trigger the switch from a
mouse action, anybody know of a way to cause the switch from user
space?  I could write a program.

I'd be glad to be a test subject, I'm fairly confortable messing
around in the kernel, especially if I know what area to look at.
