Oh; I thought I had mentioned the results of trying that. I did that, and the machines would not speak to each other. On the NT side (or Linux if I rebooted into Linux), I'd see a Connect message, but then mostly garbage or nothing. On the FreeBSD side, I wouldn't even see the Connect message.
