Hello, I am about to buy a supplementary ATA controller to install it on a XP1000, since the XP1000 supplied IDE controller is a piece of junk. FreeBSD supports very well HughPoint controllers and Promise FastTrak. I would like to ask if any of you uses a specific ATA controller on XP1000 or any other Alpha machine and if it works. Andrew Gallatain already told me that his Promise-33 controller is working great. Anyone have experience with other Promise controllers or HighPoint (HPT) controllers? thanks Rick To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
