Smiley's are often used to indicate humor in a medium where body language is not available. Have you seen the FAQ on "scratching noises" in memory? http://www.freebsd.org/FAQ/misc.html Surely that meets your definition of a smart ass comment. I think it's funny. That FAQ even goes so far is to tell the user to 'fdisk /mbr' for crying out loud. That's not funny! (but it is) To see just how funny it is do this search. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/search.cgi?words=scratching+AND+memory+AND+banks&max=25&sort=score&source=freebsd-questions (I actually forgot about my involvement on this one until I did the search.) Perhaps we should remove this portion of what are obviously not frequently asked questions to protect FreeBSD's image. Of course, IMHO a sense of humor is present throughout man pages, web pages, and even source code so the FAQ should stay. In reply, the original poster asked if I was on medication which I thought was cute. I just told him I just read lots of BOFH. BOFH cracks me up! And above all damnit... :) Thank you, Jason C.
