Usually I wouldn't respond to such an assanine thread, but I do have to point out one thing. I love how he has been using windows in general for 20 yrs.  Now I'm not a real rocket scientist here, but was windows around in 1981? And if it was, why wasn't I using it and running dos systems.  Maybe if you:

A) Backed up your data and
B) Read instructions before letting your roomate dictate how to                     accomplish certain tasks.

you wouldn't have such problems. FreeBSD, Stable as can be.
