I am currently having problems when trying to install apps with or without the
ports. This type of scenario is becoming usual when I run configure scripts :

checking for fcntl.h... no
checking for float.h... no
checking for floatingpoint.h... no
checking for ieeefp.h... no
checking for limits.h... no
checking for memory.h... no
checking for pwd.h... no
checking for select.h... no
checking for stdlib.h... no
checking for stddef.h... no
checking for strings.h... no
checking for string.h... no
checking for synch.h... no
checking for sys/mman.h... no
checking for sys/timeb.h... no
checking for sys/types.h... no
checking for sys/un.h... no
checking for sys/vadvise.h... no

This for instance is taken out of mysql's 3.22.22 port install.
All the apps I have been trying to install in the last week fail due to
'undeclared (first use this function)' and other errors.
Openssl for instance is also giving me headaches. : (
I do have this header files in their original locations. Why does it seem they
are not seen ?
Using the ports or not, I get the same kind of errors.

Thank for your help

Joao
