ok, now that I have a directory full of files like

xkw             xwh             yhs             ytd             zeo
xkx             xwi             yht             yte             zep
xky             xwj             yhu             ytf             zeq
xkz

how do i go about getting them back into the
original file.

cat ./* > file doesn't seem to work
