Yesterday I noticed a post (somewhere, I can't remember) that
mentioned that the original problem occurred if OOo was built
WITHOUT_MOZILLA.  So I rebuilt it WITH_MOZILLA, and all is well.  My
build also stopped at some module (don't remember - may "sd" or
something), but I just did "make" again (without clearing out
anything) and it all went through.  "portupgrade" was completely
useless in this context.
