According to the opensound folks, the 0.8 version of x11amp is supposed to work with the standard FreeBSD sound drivers. With the 3.0 OS, current as of yesterday, it does NOT. There is an initial message "Unable to get fragment size" followed by a copy of the following message for each entry in the playlist: "unable to open the audio device".
