This has fixed one problem for me :) THANKS! I have now created /dev/vinum/home, /dev/vinum/usr and /dev/vinum/var When I try to newfs them I get the following message: # newfs /dev/vinum/var newfs: /dev/vinum/var: can't figure out file system partition If I do a newfs -v /dev/vinum/var I get the following # newfs -v /dev/vinum/var Warning: 266 sector(s) in last cylinder unallocated /dev/vinum/var: 2096886 sectors in 512 cylinders of 1 tracks, 4096 sectors 1023.9MB in 32 cyl groups (16 c/g, 32.00MB/g, 7936 i/g) super-block backups (for fsck -b #) at: Is the warning about 266 sectoes in the last cylinder unallocated a problem? Also, is it a problem that it works with a -v, but not without ?
