.... while installing, for a Pioneer DR-UA124X CDROM drive, under FreeBSD 3.2 this drive is supposedly ATAPI compliant and has worked ok for the various W*nd*ws, and for at least three Linux-es. page 100 of the manual for FreeBSD suggests you may have fixes - any ideas please? (I note that there are no mentions of ATAPI CDROM drives in the setup - only a small number of named makes, e.g. Sony).
