You're a step ahead of where I am.  I meant listing my thoughts
on just whether we even *should* have a higher-level scripting
language in the base system -- never mind what it might look
like!  I have definite, firm opinions on both sides of the
matter...

Win?  I can't even decide which side I'm on...

[well, I'd definitely be happy to see a BSD-licensed ruby in the
base system, but I can't really defend why it should be ruby as
opposed to something else like python.  I also know that tcl
drives me nuts, even though I know other programmers who really
like it]
