Its a lowly 486DX33 w/ 8M that's not asked to do too much. The motherboard finally acted up bad enough to force me to realize that it was broken for bus master DMA as an Adaptec 1542CF and UltraStor 14F screwed up the same way. So about 100 days ago out came the SCSI and this is what I got (with the help of a UPS): PeeCee: {1001} uname -a FreeBSD PeeCee.tbe.com 2.1-STABLE FreeBSD 2.1-STABLE #0: Fri Apr 19 09:44:43 CDT 1996 dkelly@PeeCee.tbe.com:/usr/src/sys/compile/PEECEE i386 PeeCee: {1002} uptime 4:59PM up 100 days, 7:18, 6 users, load averages: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00 PeeCee: {1003} Tomcat1.tbe.com/Irix and PeeCee/FreeBSD were having an uptime contest. Today PeeCee won. Don't think I'll bother upgrading its FreeBSD until I have to shoot it to put it out of my misery. -- David Kelly N4HHE, dkelly@tomcat1.tbe.com (wk), dkelly@hiwaay.net (hm) ====================================================================== The human mind ordinarily operates at only ten percent of its capacity -- the rest is overhead for the operating system.
