Aiighhh! Fuck me with a piledriver and 16 feet of curare-tipped wrought-iron fence *and no lubricants*!¹ Well, that's how I feel about HTTP/1.1's "Transfer-Encoding: chunked", anyway. I think I've got it licked now, but I feel like burning Tim Berners-Lee at the stake, using copies of RFC2068 for kindling... Anyway, a very rough draft of libfetch (with support for "file" and "http"² URLs, but not much else) can be found on the following page: <URL:http://www.stud.ifi.uio.no/~dag-erli/?software> (alternatively, go to my FreeBSD.ORG home page, click on the daemon, and select the roadsign that says "software") ¹ probably the single best quote in the entire New Hacker's Dictionary ² download only; I don't think upload is practical with this approach -- Noone else has a .sig like this one.
