for the people that are having core dumps of the jdk 1.1.x, have you
COPIED /usr/lib/compat/libcrypt.so.2.0 into /usr/lib/libcrypt.so.2.0.
the program explicted tries to open this shared library. If the library
is not there, it loops trying to open it and then eventually crashes.
