I am having difficulty getting my PCCARD modem working on my Dell Inspiron 3200. I have PPP up and running successfully with an external US Robotics 56K Sportster attached to the serial port. My problem is that I don't know how to reference the PCCARD modem in any of the config files (sio1? cuaa0?), nor to even determine whether I have contact with the PCCARD or not. I did choose PCCARD support in the startup options in /stand/sysinstall and delete all but my modem in /etc/pccard.conf. The pccard modem is a Megahertz 3CCM156 56K Global Modem and I am installing it on a fresh install of FreeBSD 3.4-stable off a Walnut Creek CD-ROM. This is my second install this week, and the first time I could see the name of my card go by at boot time. This time I can't, although I think I've done everything exactly the same. pccardc dumpcis replies o slots found. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :) TIA Ryan Shannon To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
