Well, I got a ppp account the other day and I have been starting and stopping PPP frequently and never have I had problems stopping pppd. This doesn't say much but at least we have a delta point of behavior where the problem does not have and another where it does happen. Perhaps, if we exchange ppp setups it could be a start to debug the problem. Amancio
