Howdy! I guess you might wish to know this... TIN needs recompilation and relinking to work correctly with locales using other character sets but plain 7-bit ASCII. The C library and crt0 have changed since the currently distributed binary package was generated, and due to this tin does not get it's LC_CTYPE definition at startup. The same problem might actually infest all of the binary packages that were last compiled and linked before the last major version of FreeBSD's C library was released.
