Agreed - it just wasn't clear to me that the original poster had these
conditions, they were having problems updating to 2.2.6, which will
likely take about the same amount of time with CTM or cvsup, plus or
minus 20 minutes for the time it takes for cvsup to build the indices.

   The entire point of CTM is for those who either cannot use CVSup or find
   the long connect time too costly. The CTM updates require only a second or
   two of connect time. Some people pay dearly for EVERY second of connect time.

   And CTM also works over "sneaker-net" :-)
