Hmm
The ports is reported as 16550A:s
sio0: irq maps: 0x1 0x11 0x1 0x1
sio0 at 0x3f8-0x3ff irq 4 flags 0x10 on isa
sio0: type 16550A
sio1: irq maps: 0x1 0x9 0x1 0x1
sio1 at 0x2f8-0x2ff irq 3 on isa
sio1: type 16550A

This is the onboard serialports on a Intel Advanced/EV motherboard. The
I/O controller is a NS PC87306 chip and is supposed to be 16C550
compatible.
Is this controller broken?

HylaFAX is compiled from ports OCT 19 and the system is all ELF
including the kernel. The port used is cuaa1.
