Yes.  Screen savers are KLD modules, just like before.  There is no
built-in screen savers.  Also, you need to preload a KLD image decoder
module and image data itself in order to have splash screen at start
up.

The pseudo-device splash implements necessary interface between the
console driver and KLD splash/saver modules; it's not a screen saver
itself.
