You might get a better result if you call him by his real name, Michael 
Haro.

The argument for mkdir is simple; orthagonality.

That would be a very poor move.  Commit wars are generally frowned 
upon, especially when the new functionality has other supporters.  You 
most certainly don't have a mandate for a personal-agenda backout.

Actually, I think Mike is doing the smart thing and hoping that you'll
just go away.  He doesn't need or want to get embroiled in a long and
pointless argument over another bus shelter.

If you want to talk constructively about the implementation of the 
option, I'd suggest you get in touch with Martin Cracauer and sort it 
out between yourselves, as he did have some valid points there.
