Hi, We have a NIS server that runs on FreeBSD (4.0-R) serving FreeBSD, Solaris as well as SGI clients. When netgroup is modified with a new client it can be seen by all clients correctly. However mountd in FreeBSD clients cannot see the updated netgroup. (Verified by showmount -e). It can only see the updated netgroup when a HUP is sent to mountd. Since several resources in FreeBSD clients are being exported, this means HUPing mountd in all those. Solaris, SGI clients DO NOT have this problem. Can anyone suggest a reason why mountd cannot see the updated netgroup and a possible solution ? Thanks in advance for any help. Regards, Ajith.
