Yeah.  Noted.

However since we do not have like formal written rules and guidelines
with regard to ABI and/or API changes and this issue being a pain in the
arse I think it would be pretty justified.

I mean, when would we otherwise need to fix this for people?
5.0-RELEASE?  Which is like so different in its inards that people might
be reluctant to migrate towards it in the first place.
