Thanks for your quick response.

While it's great to hear about linux_devtools-7 in the works, it's
essential that the linux_base-7 have a 'strip' utility.  Otherwise,
linux installs like devel/understand_[c|ada] are going to either:  1)
fail; or 2) require linux_devtools-7 as a dependency (when linux_base
finally "buys it").

While I personally wouldn't mind installing linux_devtools-7, I'm sure
others--especially if their a little short on bandwidth--would greatly
appreciate moving the rpm that contains 'strip' into linux_base-7. 
YMMV, of course.
