Hi,

The mother board ASUS CUV4X work fine using HDs with 1 or 2 partiotns,
but can't boot on same HD which has got 3 partitions.

We've changed our ASUS CUV4X for a SOYO 7VBA 133. We went to our reseller
office and they tryied boot using ASUS and SOYO. That HD had 3 partitions
(ad0s1, ad0s2 and ad0s3) with FreeBSD 4.4-RELEASE and it didn't work using
ASUS. Using SOYO it could boot on the same HD.

Now our server is working fine and the hardware upgrade is completed. This
server has got a 20GB (QUANTUM FIREBALL IDE) with FreeBSD 4.3-RELEASE and
Celeron 700MHz.

This server was upgraded because there was some unknown problem, some
times is was rebooting. But now is working fine.

In this server the fdisk reports:

We are thinking there is a little bug in BIOS used by ASUS, because there
isn't problem with HD partitioned with 2 partiotns, exectly necessary
number to normal windows installs (primary partition and extend
partition).

We have been written to ASUS support but they don't answered yet.

Thanks,
Paulo.
