True.  GNOME 2 isn't perfect yet.  You can remove pilto support, change
USE_GNOME to USE_GNOMELIBS in evolution (as well as almost all its
dependencies), define WITHOUT_GNOME in /etc/make.conf, and you can get it
to build.
