I've always been willing when I had the time.  I haven't figured out 
a clean way to add libc5.so properly so that is why I haven't taken 
any action on this.  My lack of knowledge as far as linux and shared 
libraries is also at fault.  But I think we need to bite the bullet 
and force everything to linux_base v7 and fix what doesn't like it, 
most likely by adding the compat library which seems to be my 
original idea.

David has mentioned this on the list many times, I think he's just 
tired of it getting nowhere and the lack of people willing to help or 
expertise to help .  It will take forever to get it where he 
needs to be if he waits and talks to poeple.  Now is the time to do 
it(after the ports freeze).
