According to the link below, the problem is that Mozilla does only one DNS lookup at a time and has to wait for the AAAA lookup to time out before moving on to everything else. http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70213 Not sure why it doesn't seem to affect Linux users as much...
