Not that I know of.

The CDROM drive is not detected because 5.2.1 doesn't have the ACPI
update that happened in December. The update fixed bus enumeration
that was broken for a while (since 5.1 I think). The snapshot here:
ftp://ftp2.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/ia64/
does probe the ATA controller.

Add /boot/loader.efi to the boot menu.
