 I have not been able to reproduce this problem in anything after
 a 7.0beta4 circa 21 December 2007.  It also looks fine in
 7.0pre0 circa 27 December 2007.  
 I am also concerned that this may have been hardware rot as 
 the keyboard started losing blocks of horizontal keys.
