Hi,

I found the following in my dmesg:
est0: <Enhanced SpeedStep Frequency Control> on cpu0
est: CPU supports Enhanced SpeedStep, but is not recognized.
est: cpu_vendor GenuineIntel, msr e26000000e26
device_attach: est0 attach returned 6
est1: <Enhanced SpeedStep Frequency Control> on cpu1
est: CPU supports Enhanced SpeedStep, but is not recognized.
est: cpu_vendor GenuineIntel, msr e26000000e26
device_attach: est1 attach returned 6

I got both smbus and cpufreq compiled in the kernel. Besides that, powerd seems to work, even though the values shown after entering sysctl dev.cpu.0 seem to be erroneous:

# sysctl dev.cpu.0
dev.cpu.0.%desc: ACPI CPU
dev.cpu.0.%driver: cpu
dev.cpu.0.%location: handle=\_PR_.CPU0
dev.cpu.0.%pnpinfo: _HID=none _UID=0
dev.cpu.0.%parent: acpi0
dev.cpu.0.freq: 348
dev.cpu.0.freq_levels: 2786/-1 2437/-1 2089/-1 1741/-1 1393/-1 1044/-1 696/-1 348/-1

This is a PentiumD on IBM System x3200.

Thanks,

Piotr
