Synopsis: [hang] can't install 6.2-RELEASE-amd64 (SuperMicro PDSM4+), computer hangs up when booting from cd-drive State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback State-Changed-By: gavin State-Changed-When: Mon Apr 7 16:57:24 UTC 2008 State-Changed-Why: To submitter: Are you able to retest with FreeBSD 6.3 or 7.0 and see if this is still an issue? Can I also please confirm: With the GENERIC kernel from the 6.2-RELEASE CDs, the only way you can get the machine to boot is to disable ACPI? And recompiling the kernel with SMP is sufficient to get it working with ACPI enabled?
