I'm trying to use xdm.
Ideally I'd like to use this RPI as a
dumb graphical terminal, i.e. to connect
to X clients via XDMCP.
But something is wrong with xdm.
The login screen comes up, but when I type
the username, the characters appear in the top
left corner, instead of in the centre of the
screen, where the login prompt is.
The password prompt never appears, and if I
switch back to the text virtial terminal and
again to the graphical terminal, the graphical
xdm login prompt is not there at all.
Perhaps xdm is not ready to use on RPI?

Anyway, building the fonts right now.

ok, thank you for the confirmation.

Looking ahead, what is your experience of using X on RPI?
Are you able to build any clients?
firefox?

Thank you

Anton
