So there sould not be any issue with the type of encryption that is used by
default?

Let me make this clearer-

add to /etc/rc.conf [ stuff below ]

/etc/defaults/rc.conf contain the default settings- this file should be
readonly. You make overrides in /etc/rc.conf.
