just use the shell....

you have your list web.list - then use csh (or tcsh)

{1} foreach i (`cat web.list`)
? tar -rvf web.tar $i
? end

the -r switch appends to an existing tar file
and might just create one if it doesn't already exist....

If you then do a tar -tvf on web.tar you should get output that looks
just like web.list !
