Hello Andrew,

What IP address are you feeding sysinstall? Have you tried 10.0.0.1?
It's a private address (actually an address of a private A-net) that you
can use if you're not connected to the Internet (or use PPP etc to
connect). Maybe sysinstall checks that the IP# is OK?
