Please help? I am putting together a new FreeBSD server which requires
high disk I/O.

I am wondering if anyone knows if the latest stable version of FreeBSD
will support the Adaptec SCSI controller 2940U2W. I checked the FAQ's
and it only makes mention of compatibility of the 2940U adapter.

If there is a possibility of it being recognized, will it offer 80Mbytes
per second bus speed as the card is designed for? Or should I just get
a regular 2940U if the operating system does not support these speeds.

Sincerely,
