Hello, Installing FreeBSD 6.0/amd64 with i386 boot floppies worked for me in the most simple case that you just want a base installation. I specified an FTP site as installation source manually and installed from an "amd64" directory instead of "i386". Just reboot after installation and do configuration later. I never had problems with this method. Björn
