Hello Assad,

I was not interested in this discussion, and i wanted to filter
everything about it because it is (for me) a very non-important topic.

I went from Linux to FreeBSD, and I have to say that FreeBSD is my
solution, and it is very very great.

I do not compare who has developed what, and who done this, and who is
doing that, and who stole source from a or b.

There is no argument to me anywhere why I should use linux.

I tell you why I like FreeBSD:

1. The quality of the source is very great and clear. There are no
script kiddies writing extensions what are not needed in reality.

2. The kind of developing, how everything is organised and the thing
that we normal people can see how it is being better and better every day is very
interesting.

3. FreeBSD is very stable and secure, and it really works on heavily
loaded engines very well. I have tried it out by myself. I was very
surprised.

4. I donīt like RPM files (*ggggggg)

5. The FreeBSD mailinglists are very informative and the people here
are very helpful. I have never seen something before.

6. I have learned how to code very stable programs. Now I know what QS
really means, and how to write stable code. It is the first time that
I could look into such a big project like freebsd, and I have learned
a lot about software design in general.

Until now you can see the only thing i am looking for and the most
important thing to decide what OS to use is for me the following:

- The people. I went to FreeBSD because the people here are very high
skilled and the niveau is very high.

- The code. I have learned how to write better programs because it is
possible to learn something about software design in general.

- Quality and design of the OS structure in general. It is very great,
there is no more to say.

It was no wrong decision to go to FreeBSD, and maybe I will try out
the other *BSD derivates soon. But I do not know if i will use linux
again, maybe - maybe not. At the moment of writing, better not -)

AK> much to improve and its BETTER than NT (for some of you falmers kind info).

Maybe is linux and/or FreeBSD better than NT, but we all may not
forget that there are jobs to be paid at all. Maybe you have heared
somewhere that there are still some developers who want to make some
money with their buggy products, and i am one of these people. Better
running a program on a buggy OS and making money as not no make some
money. Some of us are commercial developers, too.

AK> redundant with Linux around!

LOL. The only think I can say is: Everyone should decide personally
for himself what to use, and thats all. The discussions Linux vs
FreeBSD is completely nonsense.

Use what you like and thats it. If you want to use Linux, be happy
with it. I wanna use FreeBSD, and I am happy with it.
