I've seen several discussions on this list regarding the large memory requirements of XFree86 when using the system malloc, and that GNUmalloc might be a solution. I'm assuming people have tried using GNUmalloc - does anyone have any stats on how much of a benefit it provides ? If it's tangible, I might go fetch the X sources and rebuld (any pitfalls to watch for here?) tnx in advance tony
