The multicast version of rwhod (which apparently never made it out of 
Stanford) might help; since FreeBSD "just does" multicast it might be a good 
idea to include an rwhod which has the option of using multicast.  (Multicast 
also lets you run rwho over several subnets, which may actually be a bad 
thing, but... =)
