I had this problem too. Than the new x11amp showed up and I tried it. I got
no error message from the sound system anymore, but it wasn't possible
to load any mp3-files...:-(((

Today I tested replay and it works very good, so I think I'll try to avoid
x11amp. Too much trouble...:-(
