But probably better than what Sun is using. The Plan 9 troff has the  
advantage of being UTF-8 savvy. It has the disadvantage of requiring  
the Plan 9 runtime compatibility libraries be brought along.

I don't have time right this minute to investigate further. Maybe in  
a week or two.
