i just tried to install a newly compiled kernel by:
	cd /sys/compile/LAA
	make NOMAN=1 DESTDIR=/home/root install

and it tried to install some programs in /usr/... (joy, linux, etc)

since /home/root only has the / (no /usr), is there some magic to prevent
make to install these?

danny
