It lacks the operator:operator owned /usr/local/var/amanda/gnutar-lists/ file and the server also complains about a missing /etc/amandates file. mkdir -p /usr/local/var/amanda/gnutar-lists touch /etc/amandates chown operator:operator /etc/amandates /usr/local/var/amanda/gnutar-lists fixes this.
