Hi, I configured my box with an IPv6 address ::ffff:1.0.0.2 (ipv4mapped ipv6 address), but if I ping6 it I get this error: freebsd# ping6 ::ffff:1.0.0.2 PING6(56=40+8+8 bytes) ::ffff:172.25.79.230 --> ::ffff:1.0.0.2 ping6: sendmsg: No route to host ping6: wrote ::ffff:1.0.0.2 16 chars, ret=-1 My interface configuration is this: lnc0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet 172.25.79.230 netmask 0xffff0000 broadcast 172.25.255.255 inet6 fe80::250:56ff:fe53:f73e%lnc0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1 inet6 ::ffff:1.0.0.2 prefixlen 64 ether 00:50:56:53:f7:3e faith0: flags=8000<MULTICAST> mtu 1500 gif0: flags=8010<POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST> mtu 1280 gif1: flags=8010<POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST> mtu 1280 gif2: flags=8010<POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST> mtu 1280 gif3: flags=8010<POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST> mtu 1280 lo0: flags=8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 16384 inet6 fe80::1%lo0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x7 inet6 ::1 prefixlen 128 inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000 I have to create some kind of entries in the routing table for this?
